The Genre of this Magazine is a Film Magazine, and in this case the genre is a Fantasy/Thriller with aspects of Horror. This is represented by the main colour being Red which signifies danger, alarm and blood. Total Film is a well known Film Magazine and Harry Potter is a well known franchise. The Masthead is slick and professional looking and remains the same in every issue, it doesn't represent a genre or a specific style as the front cover has a different genre all the time. It is also very easily recognised, we can tell this by the way the character stands directly in front of the Masthead and the audience still know what it says. The long shot of the character represents him as a strong male lead as he is shown at a low angle making him appear superior. The low key lighting signifies horror however flashing of bright white lights signifies the thriller side. Through mise-en-scene we can see Harry is also carrying a sword which shows the fantasy genre; this also shows battle which represents the narrative.
The magazine sticks to the 3 colour rule: using Red, White and Grey. It does have Black as well, however it isn't a prominent colour. The banner 'THE MODERN GUIDE TO MOVIES'' shows that it features a lot of current movies and is very reliable. The main coverline is Harry Potter 7 which shows the key feature is the front cover star. The issue number, barcode and date all show the Magazine is a real thing and it isn't made up; even though I knew this anyway as I've heard of the Magazine and actually bought this Magazine before.
The Target Audience of the Film is aimed at Children and Families, however the genre aspects don't usually cater for this audience. The magazine is more for older fans of the films and not children as it is for Film Fans.
